Hello guys.

Whoa I have nothing to do, feeling a bit lonely and just want to write something, so I'll tell you a bit about the book I'm reading.

First why is it that I always buy trilogies, but never realize it before I read halfway through the first book?
Now I have to wait another year for the first sequel and I'm really bad at waiting. That's now the third trilogy that I began to read and I have to wait for the sequels of all of them. At least "The Hunger Games"-Trilogy is completed.  :aww:

Ah well the name of the book is Ashes written by Ilsa J. Bick. I really like the idea, I'm totally into this "end of the world scenarios".

It's about a girl Alex who's hiking when an electromagnetic pulse destroys the world, kills many people and changes some of the survivors into cannibals.
However I love the characters. She meets Ellie a little girl and Tom a young army veteran and well like I said the characters are awesome, just it doesn't seem to be a book that ends very happy, at least not the first one. Maybe the third? I didn't read the whole book yet, but I just read a chapter that was a bit depressing and really have problems with going on.

Normally I like to read books that aren't cute and happy all the time, but ahh I need something to cheer me up. I'm missing my boyfriend.

However did someone read it already? If yes tell me how you liked it, but please no spoilers.

Aww I want to go on reading and at the same time don't want to go on. But anyway first I have to write this essay for tomorrow. And do some statistics.

What are your favourite books? Tell me.

Good night everyone. Hope you're better off than me.
Haha. :)

That sounds really interesting, which sounds like I'll have to add it to my list. Which is already getting quite a bit lengthy. But that's ok, coz it sounds like all the books haven't been released yet, so I should wait anyhow.
And you've asked the magic question! What are my favourite books? Let me enlighten you. *bookworm*
My favourite books would have to be The Witches of Eileannan and Rhiannon's Ride, by Kate Forsyth - that's nine books altogether, and I was lucky enough to have picked up the first series after all the [6] books had been released. Rhiannon's ride is set in the same world, but is a later story, and I made sure I waited til those three books were released before I started reading them.
The Obernewtyn Chronicles, by Isobelle Carmody are also amazing books. 6 of the 7 (I think) books have been released so far, but she's promising to release the 7th book sometime next year! :D They're about a recovering world (I think it's meant to be our Earth) after what sounds like nuclear warfare, but there are these people called 'misfits' who have talents, and a religious, power-hungry faction called Herders who are trying to destroy misfits, and there's a struggle to prevent a recurrence of whatever happened (we don't know exactly just yet) because if it does all life will be dsetroyed. But the story is more interesting than just that. I don't like giving things away ;)
And I also love The Circle of Nine Trilogy, by Josephine Pennicott. It actually gave me nightmares, but I'm just a scaredy cat. ^^; Hehe. It's a dark fantasy, about a world that is kinda linked to our own world.
I might be just a tad overzealous about books and reading.
